Autumn Maternity Portraits || Cary

Autumns in Cincinnati are always so stunning, I suppose the entire Midwest is gorgeous in fall but of course, as a Cincy girl, I'll always be pretty partial to Cincinnati's beautiful colors - all that greenery mixed in with the bright pops of reds and yellows.

We were blessed with a stellar evening for Kat and Pete's Maternity session, it was beautiful, warm, and not terribly cloudy - a real win in autumn; and we had carefully chosen the perfect location! Kat and I had met weeks in advance to style this beautiful wardrobe, find a spot that they would always remember as a special place from their portraits, and get to know each other better - so we could have a relaxed and fun time at our session! (This way, when I ask you to do something silly, you don't think I'm nuts - and will trust in the vision, HAHA!)

My favorite quote the entire evening came from Peter when we walked out to our second location, the vista of the lake and said, "Well that view doesn't suck" with a laugh... don't be surprised to hear me say this at that location now 😂, I don't know why, but it struck me as such a silly and true way to put it! As you walk up to the small hill by the lake, the view really does overtake you - and it is breathtaking! "That view doesn't suck"

Kat and Pete were so playful throughout the evening and we had such a lovely time talking about that sweet baby girl who'll make her appearance in the beginning of November! Check out that ultrasound photo; both mom and dad wanted their own photos with her sweet little face. I know they're so so eager to FINALLY get to see and dote on her once she's born.

I get the immense honor of photographing Kat and Pete's little babe's newborn session as well - and cannot wait to meet this already adored little girl, and photograph her with her parents! Stay tuned!
