Mandy and I met a few years ago, while I was working on commercial photography projects; she is totally one of those people you just instantly like- upbeat, bubbly, and such a caring person. Plus, we both have this wonderful love of photography! Instant friends!

Earlier this year, after finding out she was expecting, she learned she had breast cancer. I can't tell you enough how amazing this woman is - even in the face of something so unexpected and scary; her strength, her resounding faith, her unwavering upbeat positivity and JOY for both her little girls and the future has been so inspiring.

I have watched along her journey this year, prayed along with her family and friends - and the community supporting her; with every update she is positive, with every chemo trip she was smiling and thankful, with every sadness she saw silver linings and hope.

This woman is incredibly fierce.

After weeks of chemo, and just days (!!) before the arrival of her second daughter - perfectly named Hope, by big sister Lucy - we were finally able to get together for this marvelous maternity session. A small miracle that the rain stopped and gave us this beautiful evening; you can almost see rainbows in the sun flares - a little hug from the universe I like to think.

We wanted to celebrate their love, their journey - and take some time away from the difficult year, just to appreciate the here and now!

It is so obvious all the love this growing family shares - the excitement for their new addition. Lucy was particularly adorable - and loved to pause to love on Hope for a moment, with a kiss or a hug around momma's belly! I know she is going to be such a great big sister. 💗

Please say a prayer for this family, send all the good vibes their way as they navigate what's next and a new babe!

Mandy, thank you so much for coming out and allowing me to capture your family this evening! You're such an inspiration and your radiance is infectious! I can't wait to meet Hope and I'm sending you allllllll the good vibes & continued prayers for your family!
